Career Day at a Knoxville Elementary School

Career Day at a Knoxville Elementary School

A couple of weeks ago, Highland Park Elementary School held an annual 'career day' where parents and local businesses came in and explained to kids what they do. The Cleaning Authority of Knoxville had a table set up with baseboards that the kids could write their names on with crayon and then they got to clean it off with magic erasers. They also had a mirror and encouraged the kids to 'get messy' by loading it up with fingerprints, then getting it to a 'Mom-approved' level of clean by using glass cleaner and microfiber cloths. They also had information on what being 'green' means, where feather dusters and wooly dusters come from, and what service businesses do. The kids (and Pam and Pete) had a blast!
