Easy Clean Up Playtime

Easy Clean Up Playtime

Summer vacation means more time for family and fun. But, it also means the house can be a mess with children running around playing with all of their favorite toys.

This summer, get a head of the game by setting up play time in a way that’s easy to clean up afterwards.

No Mess Painting

If your kids love finger painting but you hate the mess that comes with it, here’s a trick to save you a little time cleaning up. Place a piece of white paper into a gallon sized zip lock bag. Let your child pick the colors they’d like to paint with and add a dollop of each one on the paper inside the bag. Then, seal the bag and tape it down. Your kids will have a blast moving the paint around! When they are done you simple lift up the bag from the tape and let it dry before removing their art work.

Toy Bag/ Play Mat

Many retailers are selling round bags with a drawstring going around the entire parameter. These bags can stretch out to create a play mat for legos, dolls, or other toys. Instruct your kids to keep the toys on the play mat and once they’re done playing, all you have to do it pull the drawstrings and all the toys are put away in the bag!

Turn the Tub into a Playpen

You can only keep kids clean for so long. When they want to do a messy activity like finger painting, playing with mud, or playing with water and getting the house all wet, stick them in the tub! The bathtub is the perfect place to play because when the kids are done, they’re right there and ready for their bath. They don’t need to walk through the house, possibly dragging more mess around, to get there.

While these ideas can help you to clean up toys, you may be looking for a deeper clean around the home this summer. Let us help! Visit The Cleaning Authority to find the location nearest to you and get a free online estimate!
