Celebrate Summer's Last Hurrah

Even if it’s been weeks since the kids went back to school, Labor Day Weekend can give you a nice little taste of those summer days that were gone too soon. Use the long weekend as a final hurrah for the summer time and pretend like summer hasn’t already ended!

Take a Mini-Vacation:
You don’t have to go far to get away. Drive to the closest beach, amusement park, mountains, or anywhere else fun nearby!

Ice Cream Sundae Bar:
Ice cream is a favorite summer treat. Let the kids enjoy it one more time… and in style! Purchase a few flavors of ice cream and all the fixings so they can make their own sundae creations.

Go Shopping:
Many local stores will do sales this weekend. If your kids love to shop, take them out to the mall or their other favorite stores for a fun day.

Scrapbook:
Print pictures from all of your summer fun over the last three months and put them together in a scrapbook. Get the creative juices flowing while making the book, and reminisce on all the great times you’ve had this summer.

Movie Marathon:
Weather not cooperating for a fun weekend outdoors? Break out your favorite movies or boot up a streaming service, and get the popcorn and candy out. Enjoy some time with family relaxing and watching your favorite movies!
