Jim and Teri have been highly engaged members of the Lowcountry community since their very first visit in 1984, and are excited to continue growing their involvement.

The couple first met at Iowa State University, where Jim obtained his degree in Transportation and Logistics and Teri hers in Elementary Education degree with a Specialization in Mental Disabilities. Teri also went on to pursue a Masters degree as a Reading Specialist. They now have three sons ages 27, 25, and 22. Prior to purchasing The Cleaning Authority - Hilton Head, Jim was the Chief Operating Officer of a trucking company for over 30 years, and Teri had been a Special Needs Coordinator for the past 20 years.

Dedicated to providing the best possible experience for their customers, the Pohorsky’s currently own and operate Beaufort Kayak Tours, which has been cited in AAA Magazine as one of the best places to kayak in the Carolinas.

Jim says that TCA’s “processes and procedures ensure quality for their customers,” which is one of the main reasons they were drawn to The Cleaning Authority. With high quality standards at the forefront of their operations, the Pohorsky’s are excited to begin hiring and training new staff and start servicing the community.
