Paul and Jessica Dominick are looking forward to taking a shift in their careers by opening The Cleaning Authority of Katy.
Paul comes from a background in the maritime industry, specifically working in the oil and gas sector. He worked for 16 years on ships and worked his way up from a hawsepiper to second in command. During those years, he also received maritime training through Delgado Community College in New Orleans as well as Maritime Professional Training in Ft. Lauderdale.
Jessica has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and master’s degree in Operations Management. She has worked in IT for the last 11 years as a Senior Programmer Analyst.
The couple had always discussed the idea of owning their own business; so when the oil field took a hit and Jessica found her career transitioning, it felt like the right time to look at something new.
“We reached out to a franchise consultant, and he presented several brands to us,” Paul said. “The Cleaning Authority was the one that checked all our boxes.”
The validation period was the biggest decision factor for the couple. “After learning about the company through everything that Iric and Lydia showed us, we found that it was working for so many franchisees that we validated with,” Paul said. “We spoke to several franchisees in our local area and all local owners are doing well.”
Paul and Jessica are looking forward to providing their community with a unique service with the Detail-Clean Rotation System and to starting their new journey as business owners.
