In addition to bringing joy to everyone around her, Sherri brought in more than $2 million in revenue. Sherri averaged growth of 19% in both revenue and customer count year over year since 2015. Sherri’s staff retention is remarkable: more than 13% of her staff have been with her for five or more years. All this adds up to more than 156,000 cleans and more than $16 million since she opened her doors.
So what’s Sherri’s secret to success?
“The advice I have is: listen to your operations rep; follow the TCA model; and train, train, train & train some more! Keep it simple & lead by example. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. We all do. But learn from them and keep moving forward to build your business.” Success “takes hard work and determination. It is important that I respect my employees and appreciate the hard work they do. They are so vital to my success. Over the years, I have been able to identify and promote key people into management positions. Together we have been able to support our overall goal of providing quality service to our customers.”
To continue her investment in people, Sherri recently sent her manager to a TCA Manager Track training.
“It provided my manager insight into the broader aspects of running the business and it reminded us that there is always room for improvement. We identified some “golden nuggets”—small items & adjustments that would be easy to implement to improve on the office culture, efficiency, communications and profitability. Training is such a fundamental part our business and it is important for franchise owners and managers to improve their skills and learn better ways to run their operations.
