Today is National Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive day in the U.S. This initiative, which started in 1991, is conducted by the National Associates of Letter Carriers who, when delivering mail, also pick up food from homes for a donation.
Today we are excited to announce the launch of The Cleaning Authority’s own program to support our communities, The Cleaning Authority CARES. This program will be conducted throughout the U.S. and Canada to fight hunger.
We will be targeting our efforts on campaigns throughout the year where we collect specific foods addressing a seasonal need. Along with making a difference by supplying local food banks, we will have a significant impact on spreading awareness to a need that exists in every market.
It’s easy to get involved and make a difference in your community. Here's how:
- Receive a Bag – A bag from your house cleaner will be left in your home with information about the current food campaign we are running.
- Fill it Up – Between visits, we ask that you fill the bag with foods you’d like to donate.
- Cleaner Pick-Up and Transport – Leave the bag out in the open with your donation inside for your professional house cleaners to take back to the office.
- Food Bank Delivery – Each franchise owner will deliver the food they’ve collected to a local food bank of their choice.
