Meet our Franchisee: Evan Dick

The Cleaning Authority Franchise Owner: Evan Dick

Evan Dick is excited to open The Cleaning Authority of Havertown after working many years in the corporate world. After attending the University of New Hampshire, Evan worked for John Hancock annuities. “I did that for two years, working on new business onboarding, launching policies, and working with advisers,” he said

Evan moved back to the Philadelphia area and took a job with AXA Advisers and then J.P. Morgan. “That's where I spent the last eight years,” he said. “I did a few different jobs internally for them. I started on the phone and then I went to an analyst role and then client onboarding and then project management was sort of my last role.”

In September, J.P. Morgan announced that they were restructuring and wanted to move locations to be in Columbus. “I didn't want to move to Columbus,” Evan said. “So, I started looking around and looking at franchises. The more I heard about The Cleaning Authority, the more interested I was, and there was a good territory available where I live.”

The numbers are what got Evan interested in The Cleaning Authority first. Looking at the offering document and seeing how low the failure rate was and the average revenue numbers and things like that was attractive. “Then, as I got to know the people and the system and how tight everything is, I saw that this was something I could be successful in,” he said.

Evan grew up in the Media area, so he is excited to get a business started in a market he knows so well. “It’ll make it easier to travel for myself and my staff,” he said. He also believes that his location will help him to be successful. “Culturally, Delaware County is a very tight knit community, so word of mouth will be huge in my areas,” Evan said.

In addition to a great market, Evan believes The Cleaning Authority’s Detail-Clean Rotation System will be a differentiator that will make him successful. “It’s great that we keep ourselves accountable by providing the customers with a slip showing everything that was cleaned that day,” he said.

After spending much of his life in Delaware County, Matt is excited to give back to the community with housecleaning services.
